Job Overview:

The Global Product Lead (GPL) is responsible for the end-to-end global strategy, lifecycle management, and commercial success of UBP products across regions. This role will have a strong emphasis on late-stage R&D, development, and launch readiness, ensuring that scientific, regulatory, and commercial decisions are tightly integrated to deliver a differentiated, globally viable product. This role sits at the intersection of R&D, regulatory, marketing, and regional commercial teams, ensuring a cohesive global vision while enabling strong local execution.

Key Responsibilities

Global Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

  • Own the global product vision, value proposition, and positioning across crops, geographies, and customer segments
  • Lead product lifecycle strategy from development through launch, optimization, and eventual phase-out
  • Define global target product profiles (TPPs), use patterns, and stewardship principles
  • Ensure alignment between regulatory, product strategy, portfolio priorities, and corporate objectives

Launch Excellence & Commercial Enablement

  • Lead global launch planning, including market sequencing, pricing frameworks, and positioning
  • Partner with Marketing to develop global marketing strategy, claims architecture, and core messaging
  • Partner with regions to adapt global strategy into locally relevant commercial plans
  • Support major customer engagements and key opinion leader interactions as needed

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the global integrator across R&D, regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing, stewardship, and commercial teams
  • Partner with regulatory teams to align global registration strategy with commercial priorities
  • Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory to guide formulation, label expansion, and pipeline opportunities
  • Work with marketing and supply chain to ensure accurate demand forecasting

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track global market trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs
  • Translate agronomic, regulatory, and market insights into actionable product strategies
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation, extensions, and geographic expansion

Financial & Performance Management

  • Monitor product performance versus targets and recommend corrective actions
  • Support portfolio investment decisions with data-driven insights

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, plant science, chemistry, biology, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience in biostimulants, agriculture, or life sciences
  • Proven experience in global product management, marketing, or portfolio leadership
  • Strong understanding of crop biostimulant markets, growers, and value chains
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multicultural teams without direct authority
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA)
  • Experience with global product launches and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes across major agricultural regions
  • Experience across chemical and/or biological crop biostimulant products
