Responsibilities:
Design packaging solutions for cosmetics and fragrance products, including primary, secondary, tertiary, and gifting packaging.
Develop packaging structures for bottles, jars, cartons, rigid boxes, corrugated packaging, and other packaging components.
Create functional and visually appealing packaging designs, including closures, fitments, and decorative finishes.
Conduct packaging testing, including drop, compression, vibration, transportation, and product compatibility testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external suppliers, to support new product development.
Lead packaging development for new product launches, seasonal collections, and promotional programs while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Monitor project progress, communicate updates, identify risks, and provide effective solutions to stakeholders.
Manage relationships with packaging suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and project requirements are achieved.
Ensure packaging complies with quality, regulatory, sustainability, and brand standards.
Identify and resolve packaging, material, manufacturing, and supplier-related issues through practical engineering solutions.
Represent the Packaging team throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4–7 years of experience in packaging design and development within the cosmetics, fragrance, FMCG, or consumer goods industry.
Experience developing primary, secondary, tertiary, and gifting packaging.
Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar.
Good understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, printing, finishing, tooling, and packaging testing.
Familiar with product-to-package compatibility requirements for cosmetics and fragrance products.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Able to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
