This position will be based in Batam, Indonesia.
Responsibilities:
1.Programming: Develop CNC Programs as required to OSI Drawings using Edgecam programming software and ensure good discipline is used when programs are stored in a well organized.
2.Time Study & Process Improvement: Conduct detailed time studies to ensure planning team / operators have accurate setup time and run-time for each product. Ensuring we make the required changes to ensure the programs are working to optimized efficiency.
3.Tooling Selection, Purchasing and Stock control: Recommend tooling purchases within approved budgets and coordinate procurement requirements with Purchasing. Ensuring the required is available before production running.
4.Route Card Management: Prepare, review, and maintain manufacturing route cards, process sheets, and related documentation to support production planning, process control, traceability, and quality requirements.
5.Production & Workshop Planning Support: Participate in planning and production meetings to ensure CNC programs, tooling, fixtures, documentation, and machine resources are available before scheduled production start dates.
6.Supervisory Coverage: Act as the delegate for the Machine Shop Supervisor during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of operations, coordination of resources, and adherence to production schedules.
7.Operator Training & Technical Support: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to machine operators regarding CNC programs, machine setups, tooling application, troubleshooting, and process improvements. Support workforce competency development initiatives.
8.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Machine Shop Manager, Supervisor, or Management to support business objectives.
Qualification:
•Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC Programming such as Edgecam (preferred) or similar, CNC Turning & Milling machining and manufacturing environments.
•Practical experience using Edgecam (preferred) or equivalent CAM software is preferred.
•Strong knowledge of CNC Turning, Milling, and multi-axis machining operations is preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining tolerances.
•Knowledge of cutting tool technologies and machining parameters.
